Rouge Valley Quilters' Guild's 2008 Quilt Show takes place on October 24th (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.)and 25th (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.), at Pickering Village United Church, 300 Church Street North, Ajax, Ontario. Plans are well underway ... the raffle quilt pattern has been chosen, the materials purchased and the quilt top has been pieced. The Committee Chairs are hard at work preparing to make the 2008 show our best yet!
Our show will feature a wonderful display of members' quilts, some of which may also be available for purchase. The miniature quilt auction, always a favourite, provides a challenge to members to produce an interesting quilt within our stringent size guidelines. Our tea room with its tasty tidbits will appease your appetite as well as being a place to rest your feet and recoup your energy. The Members' Boutique provides an opportunity to find that special 'one-of-a-kind' gift as well as being a fantastic source of stocking-stuffer items -- remember, Christmas will be just around the corner! We'll also have our raffle quilt on display and raffle tickets will be available for sale. Our last winner purchased her ticket at the quilt show ... you could too!
We'll have a Merchant's Mall where quilt shop vendors will dazzle you with the latest gadgets, books and material lines ... and lots of show specials as well! Do you have a quilt inherited from your mother, grandmother or aunt? A certified quilt appraiser will be on hand to help you with an evaluation for insurance purposes at a very reasonable fee.
